According to TARR (Triangle Residential Realty Report) it was noted that for Durham County "foreclosure filings during the third quarter of 2012 decreased 6%, the number of filings in the state increased 13%. The number of distressed listings in the Triangle Multiple Listing Service (TMLS) decreased 10%. Distressed listings account for 12% of total listings, up from 11% at the end of 3Q/11."The TARR Report also noted that "Nationally, distressed sales accounted for 24% of July closings, down from 29% in July of 2011."
